If You Give, You Can Receive
‘Tis the season, everyone! It’s that time of year that many wisdom traditions point to, where the sacrificed God dies before coming back to life. And so too, is our natural world going into hibernation; the correlations between the natural cycles and the mystical narrative are uncanny.
Regardless of your religious stance, your orientation toward faith or disposition around organized religion, this is a time that’s wrought with meaning, mysticism and historical miracles. Worth exploring, no?
Cosmologically speaking, we in the Northern Hemisphere are immersed in the darkest part of the year (the entrance into this planetary phase shift was expounded upon in our Autumnal blog post). We enter into darkness so we can rise from the depths, come Spring. It’s now that we plant the seeds of today that will become the fruits of tomorrow. We’re composting all the bits; take stock of everything that happened this year; our successes and our failures, remembering that failure tastes far better than regret. And we move onward! Digesting all that’s ready to be processed, and doing so in the fertile darkness of these winter months.
At the level of the collective, we’re called to gather together and celebrate our togetherness. We can see our presence as a gift to one another; after so much time of isolation and separation, the ability to gather this coming holiday season is a true gift beyond the material realm.
So what does this translate to, personally?
Well, we find ourselves invited into communion. Communion with Spirit, with each other, with our families and with our loved ones. There are opportunities in the coming weeks for intentional connection, and whether or not that’s the ‘norm’ in your family or your friend circles, if you’re reading this, chances are you’ve been put on assignment by Spirit to incorporate it!
Here are some simple ways to invoke the Spirit of Christ Consciousness and compassion into our lives.
→ With self: practice mirror gazing with yourself this week & only allow positive, loving statements to come from your lips. Speak to the successes you’ve accomplished this year and emphasize the giving and loving aspects of yourself.
→ With family + community: invite the group for a shared moment in time; this could look like a prayer, a simple shared breath, a moment of silence, or a collective ritual. There are no barriers to entry here; you’ll feel great after gathering folks together in service of a shared reality.
→ With the planet + cosmos: present yourself to the sky at some point before the end of the year. Introduce yourself in your highest light. When we present ourselves as a present, giving ourselves as a gift, this energy emanates outward in ways immeasurable yet deeply impactful.
Consider this your explicit invitation to continue the frequency of love and compassion throughout the year. The collective consciousness can be steeped in themes of fellowship, family, joy and celebration, so long as we each do our part to contribute that vibration. Giving is the underlying current right now, and you can decide whether you give your contribution to the collective in that light.
And trust me, if you do, you’ll feel the gifts of that giving in months to come!

Have you ever thought about your relationship to those that came before us? We’re talking about more than your family heritage or bloodline; ancestry can extend beyond one’s own personal family to encapsulate the vast expanse of the human endeavor. We can connect to each other through the preservation of traditions that ignite our souls from within. In this way, we can create stronger support systems across our human family, and forge futures within Lineages that resonate with our soul’s mission during this lifetime.
That said, let’s start with an acknowledgement of our family heritage. For, this can be foundational for the way we relate to our human ancestors at large. Building a relationship with our bloodline is an integral piece of the personal puzzle; if there is any resentment or unresolved tensions in the family bloodline, this can result in stagnancy and potentially blood clots. Not healthy. The circulation of healthy blood (through our relationship with our own bloodline) is a personal experience. We’re not suggesting you pick up the phone and attempt to make amends with your Aunt Gertrude who betrayed your Father’s trust, whose resentment you continue to let live through you to this day. Instead, consider this an invitation to explore what forgiveness feels like, as you connect with Aunt Gertrude (for example) and her humanity.
Keys for Harmonizing Familial Heritage
→ Forgiveness : acknowledging any harm done to you or by you, knowingly or unknowingly, and forgiving and releasing it.
→ Restoring Connections : Incorporating family totems into your altar or homespace, writing a letter to a family member, exploring some traditional music from your family’s country of origin.
→ Create a Vow : Invite yourself to identify a value or two that you hold, within the realm of families and communities. Create a vow for you to live that value and embody it every day.
Alright, so once some of the keys mentioned are used to unlock some dormant spaces in our bloodline relations, we can begin to expand. Widening the scope of our human family, we recognize that there are myriad families to which we all belong. So, in our process of personal development, it’s essential that we forge new paths while sustaining a healthy relationship with one’s own bloodline.
At the end of the day, it’s an exciting idea to think about making our ancestors proud. Regardless of your family heritage and what role your ancestors have played within the complexities of the human historical milieu, it’s likely they were doing the best they could with the resources they had available to them. Acknowledging the growth and trajectory of your personal journey, it may be that you’re ready to extend your reach beyond your family bloodline. Exploring human traditions that have been part of our evolutionary history is an exciting and empowering path to walk. Regardless of your heritage, you can unlock higher expressions of your DNA. And this, dear friends, is very exciting!

Energetic Hygiene of Physical Spaces
Have you ever entered a space and felt a physical response to the place? Whether pleasant or unpleasant, there’s a way that physical spaces hold different energetic signatures that our unseen selves can pick up on.
Sometimes, when the physical response is pleasant, we’re able to settle in and get comfortable quickly. This is always great; finding a place where we feel a sense of belonging, where we feel safe to let our guard down, and where we can feel a felt sense of tranquility both in body and mind. We can kick off our shoes and stay a while, feeling the resonance in our bodies and the openness in our hearts.
When the physical response is unpleasant, however, we must heed to this. There are different indicators in the field of biofeedback (tightness in the chest, heaviness on the shoulders, sudden headaches or belly aches, or excessive yawning or burping are all indicators to take note of). When this is the case, we have options.
Sure, you could leave the place….yet, we know well enough that we’re often magnetized toward spaces that could benefit from our unique presence. We’re pulled to places that need our medicine! Our presence goes a long way. So, if you’re up for the invitation, saddle up and say ‘yes!’ to the work. Chances are you’ll be glad you rose to the occasion of sharpening the tools on your energetic toolbelt.
Cultivating Tools for Spatial Clearing
Clearing the energy field of a physical space can be multi-tiered. First off, if it’s not your space and you have limitations to what you can do/move/say, then you’ll be limited to working in subtle ways to get the ball rolling.
If it’s a space that you’re able to facilitate physical clearing, then start to compile your tools by acknowledging all of the elemental allies you have available to you. Fresh air is important; try opening multiple windows or doors, if possible, creating a cross breeze & opening up gateways for energies to exit. Aligning yourself to the Highest Good for all involved, begin by inviting in all Beings of Light to come bless the space as they aid in the clearing.
Next, you can light a candle while requesting the fire to transmute any dense, stuck energy in the space. This is a good start. Once the fire’s been lit, you can begin to utilize sage or palo santo to ‘agitate’ and bring forth those energies that may be lingering and sweep them out – towards an open door or window, with a fan or feather. By doing this you are activating the plant allies from Earth’s surface to cleanse and purify the energetic field around you.
Manage your thoughts, feelings, and actions…
What’s essential to acknowledge throughout this process is the importance of repatterning. It’s one thing to remove unwanted or stuck energies in a space, it’s another altogether to replace those energies with a higher vibrational charge. So, first we clear the space, commanding everything that’s not love to leave, anything that’s not in service to the Highest Good of all involved to be returned from whence it came, or returned to the grand recycling system to find a place where it can be useful. Then, once that space is cleared out, we get to fill it with our blessings!
As a lightworker on this planet, it’s important we stay anchored in our lightness, balancing a sense of whimsy and play, together with sanctity and confident, self-assured poise.
Working from the core, the heart center, we can bring in a vessel of water to charge with our intention. We acknowledge the water, blessed and pure, a sacred source of life, and we request the water be a conduit for our blessings to take form.
Visualising each molecule of water expanding with each breath, breathing deeply into the belly and through the air, allowing your loving attention to travel through the etheric space into the water. Again, visualising the water molecules swelling open with your blessings of love and gratitude for life, open enough to hold the whole color spectrum; each molecule a rainbow prism.
Once the water is blessed and charged up with your loving blessing, you can offer this water to the space, either in the soil of an indoor plant, or set on a window sill to slowly evaporate into the space. It’s here that you can defer to your intuition. Giving thanks for the opportunity to anchor your uniqueness, your Light service and your heart medicine.

Enter Into the Darker Half With Joy
It’s time for the autumnal celebration of Samhain (pronounced Sah-win), an ancient Celtic celebration that is now recognized worldwide. This pagan holiday was consecrated as a means of acknowledging the change in seasons, as we shift from the late fall harvest into the colder winter months, marking the end of the Celtic calendar.
Since the ancient times from whence this celebration originated, it’s believed that communication with our ancestors and loved ones is made easier during this time. This threshold of seasons has been said to lift the veil between realms, and allow for us to communicate more clearly with the other side. How might you celebrate this thinning of the veil, you might ask? Let’s explore a few ways you can celebrate Samhain this year, and enter into the darker half of the year with joy in your heart and ancestral support by your side.
Connect with Community
Gather ‘round, y’all! Whether it’s your friends and neighbors, your family members or your distant relatives over a zoom call, it’s time to gather together and share a moment of grace. This gathering can be around a fire or a shared meal, however you and yours choose to gather, be sure to leave some space for those that have transitioned (creating a spirit plate for deceased if you’re sharing a meal, and leaving a space to sit around the fire if you’re gathering in that way).
Ancestral Altar
find a surface to dedicate to an altar. Gather together any family heirlooms, photos or other items of meaning associated with deceased family members. This could include anything that represents your heritage and your ancestry. Along with the items, you can arrange some candles & as you light the candles on Samhain, you can call out the names of your bloodlines, family members, deceased loved ones and express your love and well wishes for them. Be sure to take some time here, and allow yourself to be present to whatever unfolds.
Nature Walk
take some time to walk in nature. Notice the changes occurring around us; this beautiful planet we call home is preparing for winter. We are not apart from nature, we are nature; notice any aspects of self that are also ready to be laid to rest as we enter into the dormancy of the winter months. Perhaps you’re able to sit by the trunk of a tree for a moment, contemplating this invitation. The tree can be a receptacle for you to offer up those parts of you that are ready to ‘fall’ away and return into the organic recycling system of energy.
Rearrange
shake it up a bit! Choose an area of your home or office that is due for a new flow of energy. You could also choose an area of your life if that speaks to you. Tap into both chaos and order as you reorganize the area. Put on some upbeat and motivating music and get to it! Examine every nook and cranny, release what’s stagnant and identify energetic patterns that are looping in non-beneficial ways. Invite new patterns as you celebrate the new flow of energy in this space!
Ancient Future Vision Board
have a crafty night with friends or solo! You can do this old school, with magazines and newspapers, or you can put something together on your computer using digital images. After calling in your ancestors and acknowledging their presence in your life, invite them to guide your vision for the year ahead. Create a tactical depiction of what you’d like to see over the course of the next year, how you’d like to feel and what you’d like to call into your life. Have fun with this!
Alright, enjoy your Samhain and be sure to keep your pen and journal close. You never know when important messages will be gifted to you from the other side; ensure you’re ready to receive them! Enjoy the celebration and feel the support by your side as we enter into the colder, darker months of the winter to come.

What are the Mystery School? Great question.
Give me ten minutes & I assure you that after reading this, you’ll feel empowered with more information than you have right now. Let’s go over what these mystery schools are and what role they play. For most of us, the Mystery Schools, their practices and their teachings, remain an enigma. That’s all changing now! The gates of access are open to those bold enough to enter. Full disclaimer; this is just the tip of the iceberg! Let this ignite within you the curiosity that can take you further into the burgeoning world of magick.
Do you ever wonder…?
→ What is Magick all about?
→ How many different forms of Magick are there?
→ What types of Magick can I practice?
Seven Mystery Schools
It all began thousands of years ago, when schools began to formulate in order to protect universal knowledge and the secret principles that underlie all life. In essence, this knowledge empowers humans with untold powers and abilities to create their own reality and build the life they truly want to live. The teachings are oriented toward the development of human consciousness and the attainment of the ‘Adam Kadmon’ or divine body of light.
With this body of light, we are in the fullest expression of our being and can live in the universe like the gods
Currently, the Seven Mystery Schools on Earth include The Tibetan Mystery School, the Japanese Mystery School, the English Mystery School, the North American Mystery School, the Australian Mystery School, the Romanian Mystery School and the African Mystery School.
Real Magick Is Steeped In Tradition
All in all, Mystery Schools preserve the rites and rituals from different magickal traditions. Since these schools are located all around the globe, the rituals vary based on locational placement, cultural influence and energetics contained within the area. So while there are differences among them, they’re all seeded with the same basis of universal laws and knowledge. For example, every school has a version of the Life Activation which activates your divine potential and restores your original spiritual blueprint.
Ultimately, these schools are responsible for maintaining the purity of their teachings to ensure every generation after has access to the same power and wisdom contained in these traditions; it is through their care that the traditions are preserved throughout many generations. Nurtured by the seven traditional lineages, the effectiveness and power of magickal protocols and rituals are preserved and protected. Inviting initiates into the practice of guardianship is a valiant offering, and one that hasn’t always been easy. It’s now safer than it ever has been to study these teachings; there were times when the magickal teachings of these schools had to be kept under wraps, behind closed doors and protected from threat. The tireless work of these schools has meant that these teachings still exist, and in our modern time, we’re all encouraged to revere these traditions and invite them into our lives to whatever extent that we feel inspired.
If you’re interested in learning more, reach out and ask! I’m here as a resource for you and am enthusiastic about sharing the different practices and traditions of The Modern Mystery School.
